Kiwi Kiss

I have been playing with some of my new stamp sets, nestabilities and paper. Stamp set is Trendy Trees on Urban Oasis Designer Paper. Love the way the kiwi kiss looks with black!
On this card I used the new SU eyelet border punch. I did not quite get the technique for embossing around a smooth center. When I went back to emboss it did cut through the paper. I will have to try that one again. I added some Dew Drops for accents. Have a great weekend!

As White As the New Fallen Snow

Well, it's another snowstorm today! To coordinate with the white outside, I have made an almost all white card. I tried to duplicate the triple embossing, but I do not have any embossing borders. Can you believe, there is something that I do not have. Have no fear, I am searching for some online. I double embossed the card front and then trimmed and glued a border to the middle. I went for some bold bright colors: read red, and YOYO yellow. More cards tomorrow, but I think I might actually have to go back to work, so I won't have that much time to play! Stay warm.

Doggie Cards

Posted by PicasaI used some previously bought doggie themed stamping tools. I had a cuttlebug embossing template for the first card. I used Core'dinations cardstock, which I sanded to get the cream color outline. The background paper is Basic Grey's New Bittersweet line. The other two cards were made with a clear stamp set featuring dogs, which I bought at Michaels.

Who has been sitting in MY CHAIR?

Posted by PicasaIf you were wondering why there was no post on Saturday, it was because I couldn't get to my computer. Cooper decided to take his afternoon nap in my computer chair and I wouldn't dare disturb him. I was able to make a few cards, doggie inspired. I will post those later. Have a warm Sunday. It's 11 below zero!

Cooper

Have you ever seen a cuter dog than Cooper???? If so, let's see his picture.
I have been teaching Cooper a couple of new tricks. He is learning how to dance to the music of the Ellen DeGeneres show. His other trick is called "little up. Some people call it "sitting pretty." Keep posted for the upcoming video of Cooper doing his tricks.

Crazy for the nestabilities

Okay, I am just loving the nestabilities and can't wait to get my hands on some more! I have pre-ordered two and have my eye on possibly two or three more. I love the layering that you can do with these dies. The stamp is from the Embrace Life SU set. I used some black vinyl appliques from Scrapworks. Paper is Cameo Coral from SU.

This was a card in the making. I used the big shot card maker with the
magnetic templates to make swirls in either corner. It didn't turn out
the way I thought it would, so it was back to the drawing table ( so to
speak). Then I thought I would run the front of the card throuh the
a cuttlebug embossing folder. I used my large label nestabilites to
cut the two squares and stamped the smaller one using markers
from Pocket Silhouettes. I had some wide pink ribbon to complete
the card

Cooper in the Snow

Well it looks like we got another 6 inches of snow on Sunday, Cooper loves burying his head in the snow and eating it. I think he is hunting for poop. Isn't he adorable?

Rasberry Tart

Another card using the delicious raspberry tart designer paper and pocket silhouettes stamp set. I think I grabbed a piece of groovy mango paper instead of cameo coral, but it worked because I had the groovy mango ribbon to use on the card and I do not have anything for cameo coral. I also used the label nestabilities set. Stay warm!

Cooper gets a bath

I finally gave Cooper a bath Saturday afternoon. He was smelling pretty dog like. Of course, I love his dog smell, but now he smells like a mixture of coconut and baby powder, and I like that smell much better than dog. Since it is 0 degrees out, he is drying and warming up in front of the fireplace. Needless to say I raised the thermostat to 80! I am in my scrapbook room working on some more cards. I will post those as well. Hope you are all warm and having a peaceful weekend.

It's 20 below zero this morning. I am afraid to actually leave the house, but I will because I will be picking up the new 2009 Stampin Up cattie from a fellow stamper. She has already received hers and has generously offered to share until I get my own! Wow I am so excited to make my "Wish List."

Wacky Word Wednesday

Cooper says, "Hey let me play tug of war with you guys!"

It's Wednesday and we actually have school today: no delays, no snow, just freezing freezing temperatures. Why do I live here? I do an adjective greeting with my fifth graders on Wednesday morning and then we vote on the favorite adjective of the day. That person receives a free homework pass. I may enjoy the activity a bit more than the children, but some kids really get into it and look up some unusual words. Unfortunately some still do not know what an adjective is. I keep trying!

Anxiously Awaiting New Stampin Up Cattie

I am checking blogs daily for updates on the new 2009 Stampin Up Catalog. Also entering the Spellingbinders contest to hopefully win one of their new dies. One just can't have enough toys to play with.

Here is a card made with the Spellbinders oval nestabilities and the cuttlebug folder. I hear there will be 13 new cuttlebug folders! Yeah I can't wait. Well it's freezing here. I will have to dress warmly!

Cooper's One Year Anniversary

It is one year today, that we brought Cooper home from the breeder. My life has been changed by this cutie patootie. I have been watching him non stop hoping that his leg injury heals without surgery. We took him off the rimadyl because I was worried about side effects. Now we are just waiting and hoping that he continues to improve without the medicine. It has been truly nerve racking.

Sunday, January 11, 2009

I absolutely love this Raspberry Tart Designer Paper from the new 2009 Stampin Up Catalog. I use the Upsy Daisy Stamp Set in rose red. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new cattie. I hear they have some new items for the Big Shot, which is currently my favorite tool. Also used on this card, the Large Label nestabilities. Another snowy Sunday!

Saturday, January 10, 2009

This is Cooper in his usual morning pose. He doesn't wake up until
about 10 which is a problem, because that is when I will be leaving to play tennis. Then he will be ready to play. Another snow storm is on its way, maybe I will get some stamping and scrapping done today after I clean the house!

Simple

Posted by PicasaI like the way the flowers turned out on this card. It is simple, but I used markers on the stamp for a semi multi color effect.

Some more cards

Posted by PicasaThis is a card that I made using Stampin Up's Garden Silhouettes and a cuttlebug embossing folder as well as Spellbinders nestabilities.

It's Thursday!

New Year's Eve with Friends
Hey, Don do you know what you're doing there?
As I say to my fifth graders, "It's Thursday!" my favorite day of the week.
Although today we have a staff meeting, which means that I will be leaving Cooper all day. Oh well. I hope he rests from his inury.

Some of my creations

Now I will try and add some of my cards. Good thing I have a day off for this.

Another Snow Day

Well, it's another snow day here in lovely icy Keene, NH. There were 503 school closings listed on WMUR. Good for Cooper, his mom gets to stay home. He wasn't happy with me yesterday, when I went back to work after being home almost two weeks. I think I will start a blog today and see what happens.
