Black Magic/Chalkboard Sweet Stamps Challenge

Our challenge this week at Sweet Stamps is the Black Magic/Chalkboard Technique. This is a very easy and fun technique to try!  I stamped the new release Mums the Word with white Dye ink unto black card stock. Using a dauber I chalked the flowers and leaves. I cut out my focal image using Cheery Lynn Little Stackers Dies (LST006). I used  the Cheery Lynn Cuties 1 (B149) to create the border. I used Crafts Too Daisy Flourish Embossing Folder to create the embossed black background to frame the chalkboard image. Black pearls and a double bowed ribbon complete the card.

I colored the stamp with Ranger distress markers and then stamped the image onto iridescent card stock.
I rounded the corners and added some pearls for embellishments.

Halloween Treats

I love fall and Halloween! Love the cool crisp air, the colors and snuggling in. However, I hate winter: freezing cold, ice, a dirty car! Too bad it has to follow fall. The perfect sequence for me would be fall summer fall summer.
But I am not in charge of such things! On to my card.
I had so much fun making this card. I pulled out my Halloween dp, ribbons and brads. I created the tombstone layers with MFTs Rounded Banner Stax. I stamped the pumpkins with  Pumpkin Pie ink and Memento black. I used Lisa Johnson's primitive pumpkins stamp set and dies. I followed the sketch below for the October Guest designer spot on My Favorite Things.
